There are a few rules we would like you to follow when you come into the bookshop. Keep following them when you are in the store too.
1. Silent reading only. We do not want to hear your store read aloud. Read inside your head. And if you can't do that then pass the book to someone who can read it for you.
2. Cash only. We only accept cash at Brown and Dickson. All mechanical forms of money transfer are strictly forbidden.
3. No cell phones. First of all, many studies have shown that they cause cancer. Secondly, here at Brown & Dickson we revel in the old ways.
